Our philosophy at Lynn & Jen’s is that we will teach the art of dance to all of our students, providing them with the proper technical foundation to explore their interest in dance. We will make the classes fun and exciting, yet structured. Each student will receive individual attention and encouragement.
We would like all our students to achieve a sense of pride and self-confidence that will benefit them in their everyday life. Overall, we want our students to enjoy dance, have fun, and experience our passion and love of dance.
We provide an environment that is:
Fun: We want everyone to love dance. We structure the classes and select both movement and music to help make learning fun, while being age-appropriate.
Safe: Our staff is well-trained to instruct movement that is safe for our students’ developing bodies. We teach and correct for proper form in all types of classes.
Affordable: We want dance to be available for everyone. We encourage you to compare our prices to others in the area; you will find that we are extremely competitive.
We strive for excellence in:
Faculty/Teaching: With 60 plus years of training and over 35 years of instruction between the two of us, we select our faculty carefully to ensure that our students receive the same high quality of instruction in all classes. Our teachers are encouraged and required to continue their dance education, maintaining their own flexibility and performance levels, and learning new techniques and styles for use in their classes.
Performance: In June, our students perform in a professional-quality recital that is set on a stage with costumes, music, and lighting design. The performance showcases all of the hard work that our students have done throughout the year.
Though our focus is not on competitive dance, we do have select advanced classes that have participated in a few carefully chosen competitions. Our dancers have scored very well in comparison to the other studios, taking home an array of honors. With the foundation that we have given them, some of our graduated seniors have gone on to pursue dance study and performance groups in college as well.
